Working Together
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure why certain reactions keep showing up in their lives. You might notice patterns such as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, shutting down, or feeling stuck in ways that are difficult to change on your own. Often people are used to holding things together on the outside while feeling unsettled underneath.
If this resonates with you, you are not broken. Many of the ways we respond to stress or past experiences began as ways of coping with situations that were simply too much to carry alone.
I offer a steady, collaborative space where therapy moves at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. My work focuses on helping people understand how thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical responses influence one another. When we begin to understand how these patterns developed, it becomes possible to approach them with compassion rather than self-criticism and gradually begin creating meaningful change.
I am a certified psychophysiologist and trained in Flash Technique, a trauma-processing approach designed to reduce the intensity of distressing memories without requiring people to relive them in detail. My work often focuses on individuals navigating acute trauma, complex trauma, chronic stress, and neurodivergence, supporting clients as they develop greater understanding of their experiences while building emotional stability and self-trust.
My approach is person-centred and integrative. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, emotion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and acceptance-based approaches. Rather than applying one rigid model, I adapt therapy to each person’s needs while maintaining a strong focus on emotional understanding, behavioural patterns, and the personal narratives that shape how we experience ourselves and the world.
Living with disability has also shaped how I understand healing, both personally and professionally. It has given me insight into the complex ways physical, psychological, and environmental factors can influence wellbeing, and how easily people can blame themselves for responses that make sense in context. This perspective informs a compassionate, non-pathologizing approach to therapy.
