Working Together

I believe therapy should be a space where you can come as you are, without judgement or the pressure to have everything figured out. I care deeply about creating a warm, genuine, and supportive environment where you can slow down, feel heard, and explore what is happening beneath the surface.

Life can be complicated. Sometimes we know exactly what brought us to therapy, and other times we simply know that we don’t feel like ourselves anymore. Wherever you are starting from, I want you to feel that you have a safe place to talk through it.

We all move through difficult seasons differently. Sometimes we keep busy, push things aside, or tell ourselves we’ll deal with it later. Other times, we may not even realize how much we’ve been carrying until it starts to feel too heavy. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, understand what’s going on, and take care of yourself along the way.

You might find yourself feeling overwhelmed, overthinking, struggling with motivation or focus, questioning yourself, having difficulty setting boundaries, or simply feeling stuck. You may be navigating a major life transition, a difficult relationship, changes in your health, or something that is harder to put into words.

I believe these experiences deserve curiosity and compassion rather than self-criticism. Our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and responses often make sense within the context of our experiences. Understanding those patterns can help us create more choice in how we respond and begin moving toward the things that matter to us.

My approach is person-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and that therapy is a collaborative process. I draw from cognitive behavioural therapy and other evidence-informed approaches, adapting our work to your individual needs, goals, values, and pace. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest, ask questions, explore difficult things, and still feel accepted.

I have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, ADHD, OCD, neurodivergence, and chronic health challenges, while recognizing that every person’s experience is unique. These interests have also shaped my understanding of how much of what someone carries can be invisible to others. At the same time, I work with people experiencing a wide range of concerns, including life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, stress, emotional overwhelm, and simply feeling unsure of what comes next.

Living with chronic illness myself has given me a personal understanding of how closely our emotional and physical wellbeing can be connected. It has taught me the importance of compassion, flexibility, and letting go of the expectation that we always have to function at our best. I bring that perspective into my work while recognizing that each person has their own story, circumstances, and definition of what wellbeing looks like for them.

My background includes supporting youth, families, and individuals through challenging circumstances. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand the person behind the concern. I don’t believe therapy is about fixing who you are. Rather, it can be a space to understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your strengths, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters to you.
